PARADIGM SHIFT

Writer Alan Howard of Stanground, Peterborough has just had his third book published and already Paradigm Shift looks set to be one of the sci-fi successes of the year.

Alan has been writing for several years, contributing to magazines as well as writing books. Before retiring he was a recording studios technician and helped many well known singing stars perfect their huge-selling albums.

“I still dabble a bit now,” said Alan, “But because of health issues I don’t get out and about very much. I had always been interested in writing and decided to try. Here we are with my third book and there’s a fourth one in the pipeline.

“The pipeline is what passes for my brain so there’s no knowing what will come out of it!”

Alan’s sense of humour is never far away but he’s books are not comedies. The first one was “Walk Thru’ People” which is a sci-fi thriller adventure of people who find themselves in a strange condition which may have its advantages but is generally a frightening and possibly fatal experience.

“The second one was Everything Changes which takes more than a global look at the state of the planet from a sci-fi point of view. It is all about survival and leads on to Paradigm Shift. The next one is part of the trilogy but each book is self-contained and a story in its own right.”
